For more than a decade, our fall virtual race has brought the PMG community together—families, friends, and supporters stepping out in creative, meaningful ways to raise awareness and funds. It has been a cherished tradition, but this year, we’re opening the door even wider.

Welcome to “Step Up for PMG.”
Instead of a single event with set rules, this campaign is about flexibility, accessibility, and community. We’ve removed registration fees and reimagined our approach so that anyone, anywhere, can participate in the way that works best for them. Whether you walk, run, dance, hike, or create something uniquely your own, every effort counts.

The need for our programs and support continues to grow, and this campaign is about meeting that need—together. Every dollar raised helps us provide resources, connections, and hope to families impacted by polymicrogyria.

This is our moment to step up—not just as individuals, but as a global community. No matter how you choose to participate, your passion and creativity will help us ensure that our mission doesn’t just survive, but thrives.

100% of the proceeds will support the PMG Awareness Organization's mission, to raise awareness and provide support for families affected by polymicrogyria. Funds raised also support the upcoming PMGA Family Convention in 2027!

In order to streamline the fundraiser process as much as possible, fundraiser t-shirts are available for purchase on Bonfire! All profits will go back to PMGA to support our mission.

We recommend purchasing early to allow 1-2 weeks for order processing and delivery.

Why Participate?

By participating in the PMGA annual fall fundraiser, you will benefit PMG Awareness Organization, Inc. by helping to not only raise awareness of PMG, but also provide our families with the PMGA Family Conventions. These Family Convention brings PMG families together to connect and learn from each other, as well as learn from medical professionals. Many of the families who attend are just starting on their PMG journey and have never met another individual with polymicrogyria. The connections formed and the amount of information gained during these conventions are life changing. Families have a new sense of hope and encouragement while being surrounded by others who truly understand. There is nothing like it!

Last year, we fell short of our goal, but with your help and support, we believe we can reach our goal of $45,000 this year! 100% of all net proceeds raised from the virtual race will go directly to PMG Awareness Organization, Inc. to fulfill our mission of raising support and awareness for those with polymicrogyria and their families.
